2013 Ford Fusion SE EcoBoost Test Drive & Car Video Review

www.autobytel.com The new 2013 Ford Fusion marks the second coming for this nameplate. This sedan sets itself apart from the rest of the pack thanks to the wonderful styling. The first generation vehicle was available from 2006-2012 with a nice little styling update happening in 2010. But this second generation car blows the doors off of the first thanks in part to the Kinetic Design lines on the exterior and the EcoBoost engine under the hood. The 2013 Ford Fusion SE has a base price of $23720 with an addition charge of $795 to upgrade to the 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine. When you first see the 2013 Ford Fusion you are immediately taken aback. Even after being around the car for some time, the Kinetic Design elements and lines of the sedan still evoke a smile. Up front the grille looks like it came right off of an Aston Martin. From the factory the Fusion SE comes standard with 17-inch rims. Upgrading to the 18-inch premium wheels add to the sportiness. All the exterior parts including the mirrors, handles, molding, and bumpers are all color matched. The rear deck spoiler is a nice option. The Fusion also gets LED taillights and projector headlights. Under the hood of the SE lives a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. This base engine makes 175 horsepower. Upgrading to the 1.6 liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine will get you a bit more horsepower and torque, but a lot more MPG's for you money. The standard engine gets 22 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The 1.6 liter with a 6 ...

2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid Test Drive & Car Review

www.autobytel.com The 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid is one of the most popular mid-sized hybrid cars on the road today. Practically every big player in the mid-size automobile segment is trying to produce a practical hybrid car to win over fuel efficient car buyers. But the Ford Fusion Hybrid is one of the only ones that can claim over 40 MPG in the city. And the 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great choice for anyone looking to drive a hybrid that looks like a normal car instead of an ugly wedge associated with most hybrids like the Prius or Insight. The 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid has a base price of $28700. The car is powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine and electric motor that when combined produce 191 horsepower. What's really great about the Fusion Hybrid is the seamless transition between the two powerplants. Inside the seats are made from recycled materials but the best part may be the cool driving efficiency screen that helps you drive the Fusion Hybrid to its full fuel saving potential. www.autobytel.com The 2013 Ford Fusion gives you is a lot of car for the money. The mid-sized sedan segment is hotter than ever! It seems like a different manufacturer is releasing an updated and improved model every few months. The Koreans offer cars like the Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata, Nissan has the all new Altima, and now Ford is ready to play catch-up with the all new 2013 Fusion. There are 3 different trim levels ranging in price from $21700 - $32200. For 2013 Ford is offering 3 different engine choices available with the Fusion. The 1.4 liter EcoBoost engine is most likely going to be the most popular engine. While power output may not be that great at 178 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. of torque, the fuel economy ratings of 25 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway will be the selling point. The most powerful engine is the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost which makes 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque with gas mileage ratings coming in at 22 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The transmission of choice will be the 6-speed automatic, but there is a 6-speed manual option. There is also an AWD model available.
