2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray C7 Sports Car Video Overview @ 2013 Detroit Auto Show

www.autobytel.com The New C7 model Corvette was recently introduced at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. This new Corvette brings back the Stingray name and includes: an all new platform, new exterior styling, and upgraded interior. Autobytel's Benjamin Hunting was on hand to give us a nice overview that includes base model specifications for the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray. We are looking at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This is the C7 generation Corvette and this marks the first time in a long time that we have had a newly redesigned Corvette. Not only do we get a new platform underneath the C7 Corvette, but we also get a substantially redesigned exterior, and a much more interesting and comfortable interior; which is something Corvette fans and industry insiders have been asking for. The Z51 Performance Package adds a number of performance accessories like functional cooling ducts built into the aerodynamics, an Electronic Limited Slip Differential, a Dry-Sump Oil System, and larger wheels just to name a few. But even in stock form, the Stingray's LT1 6.2 liter V-8 engine delivers 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft. of torque which propels the base model from 0-60 MPH in under 4 seconds making this C7 the fastest base model Corvette that has ever been sold by Chevrolet. From a styling perspective, the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray is a lot more angular and has been beefed up. It has incorporated the styling cues that have spread across the industry to cars like the Viper ...

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray Sneak Preview Car Video Debut @ 2013 Detroit Auto Show NAIAS

www.autobytel.com General Motors held a special sneak preview the night before the official start of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show for the all new 2014 C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. For 2014 Chevrolet has completely redesigned America's favorite sports car complete with lightweight carbon fiber construction, a powerful yet fuel efficient LT1 small block V8 as well as a luxurious high tech interior complete with a fully programmable digital instrument cluster; however the big news of the night is that the Stingray nameplate is back. The Corvette Stingray first appeared in 1963 as the second generation car. The Stingray was the first coupe model to be part of the Corvette line. What made the Stingray unique was the smaller lighter weight approach. Styling was a big success and the Stingray featured pop-up headlights, a split rear window, and cool hood vents. The last model year to use this nameplate was 1976. Fast forward a couple of decades and we have this new C7 (seventh generation) Corvette with the resurrected Stingray nameplate. Up front a pair of LED lit vertical headlamps sit on either side of the classic Corvette cross flag emblem and ahead of an all new carbon fiber hood vent that serves to extract hot air out from the engine bay and channel it over the car as opposed to passing it underneath, increasing down force and making the C7 Stingray go around corners with the greatest of ease, while fender vents are complimented by a pair of sharp looking stingray emblems ...

2013 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Test Drive & Sports Car Video Review

www.autobytel.com The 2013 Chevrolet Corvette is the last available car from the C6 model run. Chevrolet has already debuted the new C7 Corvette Stingray and those bow-tie lovers out there are already excited. So what does the last C6 model year have to offer? Well the Grand Sport trim is set above the base model but below the high performance Z06. With the Grand Sport you get more luxury amenities combined with some performance parts from the Z06. The base price on the 2013 Chevy Grand Sport Coupe model is $56000 with the Convertible model starting at $59600. For over 60 years the Chevrolet Corvette has been the iconic American sports car. This is the end of the 6th generation Corvette and usually when you get to the end of a vehicle run there are some special editions that debut; and that is what we have here. This is the Corvette Grand Sport and it sits nicely between the base model and the Z06. The Grand Sport may not have the big 7.0 liter V-8 engine the Z06 has but that means the price is also more affordable and the fuel economy is much better at 16 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. According to James Bell of General Motors: "This vehicle represents the send-off for the C6 generation because the all new C7 generation will be on the market pretty soon. What you have here with the Grand Sport is the base model 6.2 liter V-8 engine capable of 430 horsepower and sub 4-second 0-60 MPH runs done up with some cool parts. This car has the graphics package on the ...
